Happy Friday!!
We are back with a new Friday Freebie pattern, and wouldn’t you know it’s a KNIT hat! Yes that’s right, I’m knitting again and I have brought to you a super simple, super soft, and beginner friendly knit hat design.
If you’re trying to use up your stash, market prep, work on a mindless knitting project, or a beginner looking to learn new techniques – this one is for you!!
I found some Hygge Yarn in my stash that I have been wanting to use but hadn’t gotten to yet. But we’re living that #QuarantineLife so now was the perfect time to dust off my knitting needles and give it a go.
Before we get to the details, if you have not seen or felt this yarn before, you’re in for a REAL treat. This yarn is absolutely so soft and has a little bit of “fringe” coming off of the strands which creates such a fun texture and unique look to anything you make with it. I have made crochet headbands with this yarn before, but there is something about simple stockinette stitch that just makes the end product look so expensive and luxe. I am obsessed with making hats with it right now but I would love to make a sweater or cardigan with it someday very soon – it’s that good!
I used the recommended needle size on the label and knit in the round until I found the perfect fit. I topped this baby off with one of my favorite faux fur pom poms and voila! Absolute perfection and now I can’t stop making these on repeat.
Stay Safe and Happy Knitting!
