Hey there, happy Friday!

We are 10 days into September so in my mind, it’s officially FALL! This month is all about cozy blankets over at Little Red Knits (hint hint), and I am so excited to share the first one with you.

Please welcome the Faux Cable Blanket. Achieve the look of knit cables without actually knitting cables. This advanced beginner knitting pattern uses basic stitches to create a braided cable look, and also produces a beautiful ribbed opposite side. The Faux Cable Blanket is a part of the Lion Brand Countdown to Christmas Collection, along with 15 other knit and crochet patterns to get you ready for all things fall.

The Faux Cable Blanket was made with Scarfie by Lion Brand Yarn, held double, which makes it a Super Bulky #6 Weight Yarn. This blanket is super cozy, has amazing chunky tassels, and is one you will be grabbing for over and over as the temperatures get colder. This blanket pattern is written for finished dimensions of 24×36, 36×48, 36×60, 48×60, and 60×72, so it is affordable and perfect for any age. This knitting pattern is an easy + level, but could be a great transition a maker to try their hand at a few new stitches to achieve a cabled look.
