Hello!
My name is Dominique and I am the crocheter behind DomiknitsCreations. I am so excited to be sharing one of my first ever patterns with you for this week’s edition of Little Red Knits Friday Freebie – The Carson City Triangle Scarf!
A majority of my work is crochet, but I actually started out knitting. My grandmother taught me to knit when I was a child and then YouTube taught me to crochet over ten years ago. I love being able to grab a hook and some yarn and turn it into something beautiful. I have made everything from blankets to hats, from garments to scarves, there’s nothing I love to make more or less, I just love to make!
I decided to open up DomiknitsCreations because I was getting an abundance of compliments on my handmade items. It was a risk, as all decisions are, but it definitely paid off. I mainly run my business through Etsy by selling original patterns and handmade tangible objects. I have also done a few craft fairs which are the best! I love being up and personal with my customers. I also have a business Instagram @domiknitscreations where I post daily photos of WIPs, finished products, and even some inspirational quotes. Instagram is one of my favorite platforms because of the community it has built. There are so many wonderful crafters out there and I feel Instagram brings us all together.
One of the first patterns I’ve ever written was my Carson City Triangle Scarf and it is still one of my most popular patterns and tangible items! It’s great because it’s a beginner pattern yet looks so intricate and beautiful. This scarf can be worn around your neck as a triangle scarf or draped across your back as a shawl.

Finishing
Cut yarn, weave in ends with sewing needle, and your Carson City Triangle is complete. This triangle is great because it serves duel purposes. It can be tied around your neck as a triangle scarf or it can be draped across your back as a shawl.
